Bluesky, Instagram · Disappointing news from Royal Oak. The city’s Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) blocked a 45-unit guaranteed affordable housing development in downtown by denying a parking variance. This leaves an existing surface parking lot in place. This is exactly how the housing crisis gets perpetuated.
